HARRISBURG – Area senior citizens residing in the 58th Legislative District are invited to Rep. Justin Walsh’s (R-Westmoreland) Senior Expo on Thursday, Oct. 19, at Turkeytown Volunteer Fire Department in West Newton.

“I am excited to host my first senior expo,” Walsh said. “A lot of good information and valuable health screenings will be available for senior citizens, their family members and caregivers. I hope to see a large crowd take advantage of this opportunity.”

The expo is free to attend and will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. The fire department is located at 90 Supervisor Drive, West Newton.

Seniors who attend the expo will have the opportunity to visit with more than 50 local, state and federal agencies and organizations offering information on programs and services available to seniors. Flu shots will be available, but an insurance card is required. Free blood pressure, oxygen and spine screenings also will be offered, along with balance assessments.

The 58th Legislative District in Westmoreland County includes Jeannette and Monessen cities, as well as East Huntingdon (part), Hempfield (part), Rostraver, Sewickley and South Huntingdon townships. Also, the district encompasses the boroughs of Adamsburg, Arona, Madison, Mount Pleasant, North Belle Vernon, Penn, Smithton, Sutersville and West Newton.
