– Rep. Justin Walsh (R-Westmoreland) today announced he is hosting his second annual Veterans Breakfast for those living in the 58th Legislative District.
The event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at the Crystal Ballroom, 23 Third St., Herminie
“We have many valiant men and women in our legislative district who have proudly served our country as a member of the armed forces,” Walsh said. “This breakfast is just a small way to say thanks and recognize them for their service. Even if you attended the event last year, I hope you can come again.”
Eric McElvenny, an endurance athlete living in Pittsburgh, will be the keynote speaker. He earned a mechanical engineering degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and was deployed three times as a Marine. On his final tour, he was wounded after stepping on an IED in Afghanistan. McElvenny suffered the amputation of his right leg below the knee, a life-changing opportunity that began his next journey as a triathlete and inspirational speaker.
Veterans interested in attending are asked to RSVP no later than Monday, Oct. 29, by filling out the form at RepWalsh.com
or calling Walsh’s district office at (724) 929-2655. Each veteran may bring a guest.
