The main district office will remain located at 1739 Rostraver Road, Belle Vernon, and is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The telephone number is 724-929-2655. Walsh’s office in the Mount Pleasant Borough Hall, 1 Etze Ave., will now be open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The telephone number is 724-542-0349.

In addition, Walsh has now opened satellite offices at the Jeannette Public Library, 500 Magee Ave., Jeannette, and at the Sewickley Township Public Library, 201 Highland Ave., Herminie. A staff member will be available at the Jeannette Public Library on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from noon to 6:30 p.m. At the Sewickley Township Public Library, a staffer will be available on the second and fourth Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

“I think these adjustments in locations and hours will better serve the needs of the 58th Legislative District residents,” Walsh said. “Our public libraries provide a valuable service to our communities and are gathering points. By having one of my staff members available twice a month, residents can receive assistance with state-related services and problems without visiting another location.”

Staff in the offices offer the following state-related services:

• Driver’s license and vehicle registration applications and renewals.
• Assistance with PennDOT paperwork, such as lost cards, changes, corrections, special plates and handicapped placards.
• PACE and PACENET applications.
• Help with public assistance, such as Medicaid and food stamp applications.
• Property Tax and Rent Rebate applications.
• Birth and death certificate applications.
• Access to state tax forms.
• Voter registration forms.

The 58th Legislative District in Westmoreland County includes Jeannette and Monessen cities, as well as East Huntingdon (part), Hempfield (part), Rostraver, Sewickley and South Huntingdon townships. Also, the district encompasses the boroughs of Adamsburg, Arona, Madison, Mount Pleasant, North Belle Vernon, Penn, Smithton, Sutersville and West Newton.
